Echoing Our Actions

At ICS, service begins with understanding and grows through action. Inspired by our Mission Statement, students learn that responsibility is not limited to a requirement, but carried forward through what they do and how they engage. By learning about service and working alongside organisations, students experience how even small actions can ripple outward and contribute to lasting change.

There is no fixed requirement for the number of service hours students must complete. Instead, students are encouraged to see service as a shared responsibility within our community and to engage in meaningful ways that support others.

Our Mission Statement commits us to ‘fulfil our responsibilities’ and at ICS, we put a strong emphasis on learning through service and believe in the importance of both learning about service and offering service.Primary School students take part in the Swiss 2xChristmas initiative, donating gift boxes to families in need. Senior School students organise an annual winter food drive supporting Socialwerke Pfarrer Sieber, a Zurich organisation assisting people experiencing poverty and homelessness. Students reflect on their experiences through Service Learning booklets.

The Saathi Project

ICS has a partner school in Kathmandu, Nepal. Shree Mangal Dvip School (SMD) is a boarding school serving children from remote Himalayan villages where access to education is limited.

Through our scholarship programme, ICS supports SMD students beyond Grade 10, enabling them to study the IB Diploma and opening pathways to university and future opportunities.
