FAMILY TRANSITIONS
Welcoming new families to ICS
Helping families overcome the challenges of settling in is what ICS excels at.
We understand that new students may feel a little nervous about entering ICS. When transitioning to a new school, it's natural to wonder how you will find your way around, make friends and settle into learning.
When you start a new journey, understanding that you belong is imperative. Our Orientation Days are designed to connect our families to the School and to open the door to the uniqueness of the ICS experience.

New Students' Orientation Day
Every August, two days before school starts, we hold a New Students' Orientation Day. We urge new ICS families to attend. It gives new students a chance to look around the school, meet teachers and fellow students, and join in some activities. We welcome the entire family to attend, as it is a chance to meet teachers and ask questions - as well as meet other ICS families and our Parents' Association.
The date for this event is published in our School Calendar.
Buddies & Ambassadors
At ICS, we try to make new students' arrival as smooth as possible. We have students who are happy to help new arrivals. Student Buddies in Primary and Student Ambassadors in Secondary volunteer to welcome newcomers and help them settle into our community.
Joining our Community
Moving to a new country and a new school, and leaving what you are familiar with is an exciting challenge for parents and children.
The ICS Transition Programme, involving the Senior Leadership Team, Staff and Parents' Association eases the transition process for families.
We offer support to help guide you through the application process to make it as easy as possible.
