Home/School Communications

Building partnerships is key in education. So as a school we work hard on communicating with parents.

We arrange some formal events during the school year when we meet parents to discuss the school curriculum, or their children's progress. These dates are in our school calendar and include:

Back to School Nights (in Primary) and Start of the Year Curriculum Information Evenings (in Secondary) take place at the start of the school year. Here parents can meet their childrens' teachers/tutors and hear about the curriculum for the year.

Parent-Teacher Conferences take place during the school year.  Here parents can discuss their children's progress with their teachers.

Coffee with the Leadership Team. These are monthly meetings where the Leadership Team and any interested parents meet to discuss particular topics in school life. Last year topics included internet safety, using the school library/research, transitions and home learning.

Curriculum workshops: we hold information sessions relative to specific areas of the school programmes.

We also encourage parents to contact their child's teachers at any time to discuss their learning.
