CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
Thank you for your interest in joining the Board of Trustees of ICS Inter-Community School!
The Board of Trustees (BoT) are the custodians of Zurich’s oldest International School, and are responsible for the fiduciary, long-term strategy, and oversight of the School’s mission and vision.
As we step into the next phase of our strategic roadmap, the School is open to accepting new applicants to serve up to a three-year term. The role is a voluntary one, working alongside a Board with a breadth of experience across many industries.
Trustees are required to attend all Board Meetings (every two months), serve on at least one committee, and attend ad-hoc meetings as required. Expected time commitment for all activities is approximately 1-2 days per month, depending on committee engagement.
Prospective Trustees should:
- Have an interest in education and a strong commitment to ICS and the community and its values.
- Have proven leadership experience in the workplace, community, and/or on a prior or current Board (including non-profit).
- Have specific expertise in one or more of the strategic capabilities the Board is looking for, including: higher education, medical, finance, project fundraising, and communications. With the current Campus Hub building project, candidates with engineering and project construction backgrounds are also encouraged.
Application Process:
Prospective candidates should send their current CV and a cover letter stating their qualifications and personal motivation for Board of Trustee membership. All CVs and cover letters should be submitted to board.liaison@icsz.ch and will be handled confidentially by the Board Nominating Committee.
Applications are invited from current parents, alumni, parents of alumni, and those beyond the ICS community. Please share this with any colleagues or acquaintances who fulfil the relevant expertise requirements and who you think would be an asset to ICS.
Questions:
Any questions should be directed to the Board Liaison (board.liaison@icsz.ch), attention Valentijn Bonger, Nominating Committee Lead.
