CHILD PROTECTION
The safety, welfare and wellbeing of our students
At ICS, the safety, welfare and wellbeing of our students is our highest priority. Our strong commitment to safeguarding is reflected within our Child Protection Policy, which outlines our expectations and practices around safe recruitment and ongoing professional development of staff.
Aligned with the standards outlined with the International Taskforce on Child Protection, we are committed to ensuring the safety of all young people at our school, and expect all members of our community to share in this commitment.
As an international school, we maintain the highest standards around safeguarding, and require staff to share in this commitment. To that end, all prospective staff members undergo extensive background checks related to child safe conduct, including criminal record checks and reference checks with previous employees and relevant authorities.
ICS Child Protection Policy
The child protection policy is the guiding document to safeguard the welfare of our students. It outlines the steps taken by the school to minimize the risks of children in our community and to respond promptly and effectively should a risk be suspected, observed or disclosed. It applies to all ICS staff, volunteers, contractors and consultants, and is reviewed annually.
