The power of our Learning Environment - behind the scenes
It often happens, when I sit with a book in hand on my reading chair, that my memories drift back to a special study place in my alma mater — a corner I called my own. During exam seasons or while writing my thesis, I would retreat there: a hidden nook in the library, framed by wooden shelves, softened by art on the walls, filled with the quiet scent of books, bathed in natural light, and wrapped in a silence that lived within a buzzing, vibrant world. It was my learning environment — personal, inspiring, unforgettable.
This is what Our Kind of Education means to me. Behind the scenes, we strive to shape such meaningful and unique spaces for every student — in classrooms, study corners, common areas, or even on the school bus — so that each can pursue and reach their very own learning potential. All of this is made possible by the many administrative teams working behind the scenes — from Human Resources and Engagement to Facilities, ICT, Finance, and Procurement — whose work resources, sustains and empowers our learning environment.
As we approach the main Campus today, our community can see more clearly than ever our commitment to shaping inspiring learning environments. We are building for the future with the capital entrusted to us since our foundation, a trust we honor with care. This journey calls for agility and patience, and we thank all those working quietly behind the scenes to ensure that Our Kind of Education continues with as little disruption as possible. The upcoming Founder’s Day, marking our 65th anniversary, invites us to pause in gratitude — to our institution, to our community, and to the shared vision that spotlights the way. We warmly welcome you to join us in celebration on 19 September.
