I remember vividly when first arriving at the school, the conversations had around how we would possibly be able to build on a live campus, in a footprint as small as ours, in a village as quiet as Zumikon. 

Today, I stood in front of The Pavilion, immeasurably proud of the plan we have forged to keep the quality of our teaching and learning at the forefront of all the decisions we make, will fulfilling our commitment to build for our future. 

It has been inspiring, to say the least, to watch the basketball court/football pitch transform in a timeframe so short, most would only have turned the soil in preparation for the build – but not our school – we have finished.  

With 24 classrooms in total, acoustic installations that inhibit sound travel, and windows that open the world around us to our students, we are elated to have arrived at this day. 

The Pavilion should act as a reminder to our entire community, of our commitment to them. That in centring our capital works project on the kind of learning spaces we want to build, both indoors and outdoors, we are committing to preparing our students for bright and beautiful futures. 

The Pavilion now provides the space for the Primary School to undergo a transformation of sorts. With improved access for inclusion, a new nursery and early years playground, updated entry into the school, and some alterations to current classrooms, we are excited to share this moment in time with you all. 

Please do take the time to walk through The Pavilion the next time you are on campus or stand at the wide windows and wave to those inside, those for whom we build for today, for a beautiful tomorrow.
