At ICS, the Primary Years Programme (PYP) Exhibition is more than just a final presentation; it is the culminating experience that transforms our students into active, compassionate, and lifelong learners. 

At ICS, there is a phrase I hear often from parents: “We felt at home from the very beginning.” For some families, that feeling began even before the first day of school.

Experiential learning at ICSZ turns abstract concepts into lived experiences, and nowhere was this more evident than during a recent visit to the nuclear power plant in Leibstadt (Kernkraftwerk Leibstadt - KKL).

In a world that is increasingly fast-paced, digitally saturated, and focused on results, the Arts provide something quietly revolutionary: space to feel, think, reflect, and connect meaningfully. At ICS, we witness every day how creative learning improves not only academic success but also young people’s wellbeing, identity, and sense of belonging.  

Grade 6 students are currently studying a unit on Cells, Tissues and Organs in Science. Through this unit they have developed an expertise in using microscopes, naming the parts of a microscope, including two lenses, explaining the function of these parts and developing skills to use microscopes to observe cells.

Inclusive education is not about lowering expectations; it is about rethinking pathways so that every student can access learning meaningfully. When learning experiences are designed with flexibility and intention, students with diverse learning needs can engage deeply without losing their creativity, voice, or sense of identity.
