Last night, the primary school hosted a magical event named "Arcana," an evening dedicated to celebrating the transformative power of art, artists and community. The event was not just an art exhibition, but a well-curated, immersive experience that captivated the imagination and encouraged everyone to explore the mysteries of artistic expression.

The evening was designed by our Primary Arts team to foster a sense of wonder and celebrate the joy of creativity.

Walking through the school, attendees found themselves amidst various art installations and activities. One could explore the "Midnight City," an intriguing art installation created by our Grade 3 students. The main gallery was filled with captivating art pieces, each embodying the mysterious essence of the "Arcana" theme.

Other parts of the event were set up to engage attendees actively. There were hands-on experiences run by the visual arts team like talisman making and Lego printmaking, which allowed participants to create and take home a piece of the evening’s magic.

External Artists such as illustrator Barbara Nigg (Fortune Tellers) and contemporary artist, Clare Goodwin (Narrative Carriers) worked with the community to create otherworldly illustrations and installations.

Adding to the evening’s charm was an engaging performance titled "The Lost Students." The theatrical presentation, performed by the Primary Drama Club, provided a space for stories to unfold and imaginations to flourish.

The event was a beautiful blending of various art forms, ensuring that there was something to spark curiosity in every attendee, student and parent alike. In the end, Arcana proved to be a remarkable event that celebrated the arts, unravelling the mysteries of and transformative powers of creativity, all while engaging the community in a memorable artistic journey.
