At ICS, being a child is nurtured and celebrated. Our Primary School is a space where enquiry and student agency is nurtured and celebrated. We are one of the few international schools to offer a dedicated Primary Design Programme, recognising that innovation starts young and that being - and loving being - a child is essential.

ICS Primary is built around a simple idea: being a child matters. In a world obsessed with what children know, we prioritise conceptual understanding, how they create, and the power of enquiry. Learning here spills into design labs, gardens, outdoor spaces and the local Zurich community, where children take ownership of their learning through exploration and meaningful action.
Ours is a school that sees the extraordinary in the everyday. At ICS Primary a scribble can become a prototype, a question can spark an experiment, and a playground can be a laboratory for collaboration. We believe in the power of play, the necessity of unstructured moments, and the irreplaceable awe of being a child.


Ms Lynda Miller serves as Primary School Principal at ICS, bringing dedicated leadership and a strong commitment to the growth and wellbeing of our Primary School community.
With over 30 years of international experience, Lynda brings deep expertise in enquiry-driven, inclusive education that nurtures curiosity, kindness, and connection.
Having started at the beginning of August 2025, Lynda leads with warmth, wisdom, and a collaborative spirit — cultivating a learning environment where every child feels seen, supported, and inspired to grow as a confident global learner.

From our pioneering Design Programme to our dynamic, child-led approach, we do not just prepare children for the future, we give them the space to fully experience the present. As one of the few international schools with a dedicated Primary Design programme, we empower young learners to create, problem-solve, and think like designers from an early age.
