IB Programme

Meeting the needs of a Diverse International Community

ICS students represent over 50 nationalities. For diverse communities of international schools like ours, meeting the challenges of globalisation requires a flexible and comprehensive education that prepares students to realise their full potential.

ICS is the only school in Zurich offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP) of the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO).

As an IB World School in Switzerland, ICS provides students with a solid set of flexible skills essential in meeting the academic and social challenges they face as they prepare to enter university and work towards building a secure future.

The IB maintains a hard-earned reputation for high standards of teaching, pedagogical leadership and student achievement. An international mindset develops and flourishes within the framework of the IB.

IB is a global programme, and ICS  is committed to developing the whole child within our culture of learning, high expectations, and care. Students are challenged to think independently, accept personal responsibility and engage with the community.

IB Diploma Studies

ICS is an inclusive school, with all students encouraged to take the IB Diploma exams. ICS students on average earn significantly better scores than the worldwide average.

How universities recognise the IB Diploma

A key consideration in choosing IB Diploma Programme courses is whether they fit the entry requirements for programmes students may want to study at university.
