SCHOOL SERVICES
Services to support our community
The support for ICS families goes well beyond the boundaries of our classrooms. We provide a complete range of school services for our community.
Each day our campus hosts nearly 1,000 people. We manage health care issues, technology and internet access, bus transport, and cafeteria services. We look after your children’s health and well-being, offer a school transportation service, operate a cafeteria, and provide a before and after-school care programme.
Cafeteria Menu
At ICS, we believe that encouraging healthy eating is very important. Nutritional lunches with vegetarian and salad options are available to students every day. The menus are nutritionally evaluated and approved by the Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Ernährung (SGE).
Students may either bring their own lunch or buy a hot lunch in the ICS Cafeteria. Run by Passion Food, the cafeteria offers hot meals, soups, and a salad bar, as well as fruit, yoghurts, fruit juices, and sandwiches. There are always vegetarian options.

School Bus Service
ICS encourages students, where possible, to use public transport links to the school.
In addition, to provide a more environmentally-friendly alternative to arriving by private car, ICS runs a school bus service for students aged 4 and older. We operate our own fleet of school buses driven by qualified school bus drivers to ensure that children are brought to school safely and punctually.
ICS Families may register by filling in the School Bus Form on the Parent Portal.
Please contact us at schoolbus@icsz.ch for any questions.
Service Fees
Currently, our rides are divided into 4 zones, each with two pricing tiers based on the number of rides selected: one for 1-5 rides and another for 6-10 rides. This means that choosing 2 rides per week costs the same as selecting 5 rides, and 7 rides cost the same as 10 rides per week.

After School Care
We offer child care services to children from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 5. Children enjoy organised activities led by a teacher and supported by a team of teaching assistants. The programme is available Monday through Friday. These programmes are held in the dedicated After School Care space which provides a comfortable location to enjoy activities. The school's gym, dance studio, and outdoor spaces, including the ICS Research Garden, are also available for the children to use and explore with their teacher.
The After School Care Programme runs from 15:15 to 17:30, with flexible pick-up time until 18:00. The programme offers different learning opportunities each week, including visits to the forest, sports activities and creative explorations. Additionally, space is available for students to work on independent learning, receive support for home learning, read books, and enjoy small group activities. A nutritious afternoon snack is also included.
ICS Families may register by filling in the After School Care Form on the Parent Portal.

Health Services
At ICS we value the physical and emotional health of everyone in our school community. Our on-site school nurse is instrumental in looking after the well-being of the children entrusted to our care and often serves as a source of health information for parents.
Families are asked to submit a medical history form for each child registered at ICS, to ensure our staff and school nurse can better serve your child/children if they need help.
In the case of illness or injury, our school nurse contacts parents immediately. It is school policy that every child must be seen by the school nurse before a student is allowed to leave sick. This is to monitor what illnesses are affecting our students and to make sure parents are aware of any contagious illnesses that may affect their families.
With families from 55 countries, our vibrant and engaging parent community offers a valuable social network.
At ICS, we believe in the importance of both learning about and offering service locally and globally.
