Supporting Children to Exceed Expectations
In a nurturing and challenging environment found nowhere else, we empower students to become self-directed, life-long inquirers.
ICS is a leading private, non-profit, co-educational international day-school for students aged 18 months to 18 years. Our single campus, situated in the picturesque village of Zumikon, is just 15 minutes by direct public transport from the centre of Zurich.
Our teaching language is English and our students also learn German, the language of our host country.
As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, we are the only school in Zurich offering all three programmes of the world renowned IB Organisation: the Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes.
The moment we walked into the building there was such a warm and caring atmosphere and a very strong sense of community. Once we had visited ICS, we didn't see any need to visit other schools.

Empowered to Learn
ICS recognises that a rigorous 21st century curriculum encourages and engages students, while developing critical-thinking skills. In a nurturing and challenging environment found nowhere else, we empower students to become self-directed, lifelong inquirers who understand that learning happens everywhere.
Prepared to Succeed
ICS graduates qualify for university with the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma or Bilingual IB Diploma, plus the ICS Secondary Graduation Diploma. The IB is a well-known programme in international education and is highly regarded by universities throughout the world.
Globally Recognized
Part of the IB’s reliability emerges from the rigorous accreditation, IBO, CIS and NEASC schools must undertake before offering the programme. This ensures that the educational standards of all IB schools are both exceptional and globally uniform. ICS, as an IB Plus school, exceeds these standards.
Future Ready
Students learn at ICS the extensive core knowledge expected by universities and the workforce. In addition, our teaching practises help them become resilient and reflective risk-takers. These qualities prepare students to be principled leaders who will flourish as global citizens in an uncertain world.

Alternative Learning Pathways
We recognise the diversity in children’s learning styles and offer different types of learning support to help students reach their full potential. We bring out each student’s strengths and talents and ensure that students with learning challenges are fully participating members of the school community. We offer a number of services and resources to support their access to the curriculum.
For students with more complex learning, ICS has established an Extended Learning Needs programme.
