"Finding Your Way to Good Health and Well Being" was this year’s theme for the Primary Library Logo Contest.
As part of the International School Library Month activities, the Primary Library offers a range of activities for students to celebrate reading. One of these activities is the Primary Library Logo contest. Once again ICS students were invited to submit posters to the Library illustrating this year’s theme, chosen by the International Association of International Librarians: Finding Your Way to Good Health and Well Being.
From a grand total of 33 colourful and imaginative poster entries submitted by our talented Primary students, this year’s winning poster was designed by Sharvil D in Grade 4.
Sharvil says that he discussed different aspects of health and well-being such as exercise, friendship, and other “healthy stuff" with his mother while planning his poster design.
He came up with symbols for each of the different aspects, such as yoga- for your mind, and a plate of healthy food. The rainbows in Sharvil’s poster represent peace and hope and his design clearly shows a lot of thought, effort and creativity.
Broadcasting from the Primary Library, Sharvil recently shared his thoughts about his poster with Grades 3-5 students during a virtual google meet assembly. His winning poster will now serve as the ICS Primary Library logo for the entire school year and will remain on the library website until next year's International School Library Month!
All the 2020 poster designs created by ICS Primary artists can be viewed on a slide share on the Primary Library website. We congratulate Sharvil for his excellent winning poster design and say “well done” to all our Primary students who participated in this year’s Library Logo contest!
