Engaging, inspiring and just plain fun, last weekend's International Festival provided the ICS community with a wonderful opportunity to come together and enjoy!
Preliminary worries about the weather were dispelled last Saturday as an excellent turnout of ICS families participated in this year's International Festival. In an all-day event that traditionally highlights the cultural diversity and strong community spirit that we are so fortunate to have at our school, 21 country stalls served delicious traditional food and drink and five sports clubs welcomed children on the Astroturf and in the Tiger Dome, encouraging them to try out new activities.
The Entertainment Tent offered students, parents and staff an opportunity to show off their on-stage talents, there was karaoke in the Main Hall, and we admired our daring and courageous ICS staff members who bravely took their turns at the infamous Dunk Tank!
In the Art room, approximately 1000 books were sold at the second-hand book stall and visitors were also able to rummage through items on sale at the flea market. Members of Round Square had a stall with activities and Secondary students provided a variety of games for younger children on the playground.
Congratulations to Marije v V and Nienke S who chaired the International Festival as well as to all the members of the Parents' Association who once again helped make the ever-popular International Festival such an overwhelming success!
