The ICS "Unname" team took first place in yesterday's Inter-School Battle of the Books (BOB).
Designed to encourage students to read quality literature, the Battle of the Books is a very popular reading competition at ICS. An impressive number of our Grades 6-8 students form teams and collaborate to read books from a selection of titles suggested by school librarians.
Initial team sign-ups took place in November of 2018. Weeks passed, the students read their chosen books and in no time, they found themselves in teams competing against each other in the ICS semi-final and final rounds. One team, "Unname", scored the most points and went on to represent ICS at the BoB Final yesterday, competing against teams from other international schools.
We are delighted to announce that the Unnames, made up of three Grade 7 and one Grade 8 student, won this year's BoB Inter-School competition and we congratulate Olivia, Oliver, Stephanie and Bora for their excellent results! Well done!
