The ICS Ski team competed in the Aiglon Cup in March, concluding their winter sports season with good results in Villars Gryon-Chaux and Le Col de Bretaye.
The Aiglon Cup, hosted by Aiglon College saw over 300 student competitors from various schools skiing on a dusting of fresh snow during the 2 beautiful days they spent in Villars.
On Thursday 8 March the ICS team skied the Giant Slalom (GS). In the GS U14 Girls' event, ICS skier Almudena M ranked 8th in a field of 25 racers posting a combined time that was just 11 seconds away from first place. In the U16 Boys' GS, Leo N also came in 8th out of 22 skiers.
On the 2nd day of racing, Friday 9 March, our U14 girls achieved very good results with 3 ICS Slalom skiers placing in the top ten: Linnea 6th, Almudena 7th, and Mia in 9th place. Our U16 Boys' team also had 3 top ten finishes in the Slalom with Leo, Tom and Simon ranking 8th, 9th and 10th respectively.
Competing in the Aiglon Cup in Villars was the perfect end to a snowy and successful season for the ICS Ski Team ... well done!
