Outdoor activity offers students opportunities to build skills and confidence as they take part in limited-risk outdoor activities, suited to their age and physical capabilities.
Many field trips from Grade 5 upwards offer students the opportunities to take part in outdoor activities such as hiking, high-ropes courses, climbing, canoeing or river-rafting.
Grade 9 students can apply to join a Service and Adventure trip during the spring vacation. It has previously gone to Moshi, Tanzania and Nepal, where they volunteered at our partner school in Kathmandu and then had the chance to see the countryside while hiking in the Annapurna region.
Grade 10 students can study Outdoor Education & Leadership. They also have the opportunity to take part in a month-long Expedition, incorporating a week of local community service, in a developing country. Previous expeditions have been to Ecuador, Nepal, Bolivia, Peru, Borneo and Vietnam.
