Parents, teachers and students came together this morning to celebrate the beginning of summer in the Early Years Centre. It was a morning full of laughter, music, dancing, and delicious food.
The dedicated EY team and the children's helpful parents pulled out all the stops for this event. Colourful decorations and buffet tables transformed the playground into an outdoor party venue. A reading corner, an arts table equipped with paper, pencils and water colours, and even a tipi were set up for the children to enjoy. Materials such as building blocks, scarves, and lots of musical instruments were also brought outside, and the pavilion was turned into a disco as the children danced to their favourite songs booming from the speakers. It was wonderful to see children from different classes and grades bond with one another and play together, and some younger siblings even joined in on the fun.
The well-attended event reflected the strong sense of community that exists in the Early Years, as teachers and parents enjoyed the sun together, mingled, and excitedly exchanged plans for the upcoming summer holidays. It was a great way to bring the second last week of the semester to a close and put everyone in a fantastic summer mood!
