ICS Virtual Learning Environment

ICS is replacing its former web2 website (where teachers shared information and learning resources with students) with a new Virtual Learning Environment called Frog.

Using Frog, teachers can share with students course information, task sheets and links to useful websites. Students who are at home can use Frog to access information stored on the school network. Frog also offers the facility for class blogs and online student/teacher discussion forums and quizzes.

Frog is now being made available to teachers and students, and will be accessible by ICS parents later in the year.  Recently, using Frog, Grade 1 shared pictures and information about their learning.  Grade 4 has used Frog to run an online Discussion Forum where students and teachers discussed what people's roles and responsibilities were in Roman life.

The Middle Years Arts Programme is using its Frog web pages (see above) to make resources available to help students, whether they are catching up with missed work, revising for exams or looking for additional reading. They share details of relevant art exhibitions on their Frog webpages.

At IB level, Frog is being used to make resources like videos and presentations available, and to share marking rubrics and past papers for Grade 12 students who are preparing to take the IB Diploma.
