Admission Overview

The Inter-Community School Zurich is a private, co-educational day school on the outskirts of Zurich providing a world-class international education to students aged from 3 to 19. A non-sectarian, non-denominational school, we welcome students of all nationalities: currently 842 students from 48 nationalities are studying at ICS.

In our admissions policy we aim to maintain the diversity of students and encourage the multicultural atmosphere within the School. ICS is non-selective: there is no admissions test, but previous school records are required.

ICS is the only school in Zurich to be fully authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation to offer all three programmes of the International Baccalaureate. Our language of instruction is English and all students also learn German, the language of our host country. We also support students with limited English through our 'English as an Additional Language' programme.

Our modern, purpose-built campus is situated in the village of Zumikon, 11 kilometres from the centre of Zurich on the north side of the lake. It is easily accessible by public transport.
